Seeing as everyone's different and having read that you can walk around town looking to hook up with characters to beat up enemies with, I thought it would be an idea to have some unique party members to be found throughout the world, all with there unique qualities of course. The general idea here is a bit along the lines of the jobs from the final fantasy games that give some flexibility in terms of battle gameplay. I just think it would be a great idea to explore the world and meet unlikely or unexpected new party members that are all unique in their own way but don't necessarily contribute to the story. Like one of them levels up fast and gains decent stats while an other levels up slower but gains way more stat growth at leveling up. Some 'skill' ideas with obvious ties to a character's personality: -Manipulate: Uses PSI or special moves that gives foes status conditions. With a signature move that puts an enemy under complete control for 1 or more turs and only works when facing multiple foes obviously. -Care: Healer with low PP spells or hPSI-less healing abilities. Using a part of this 'skill' could increase the power of healing spells and items for 3 or more turns. Signature move could be a weaker version of Ness's PSI Lifeup Omega. 1 of the possible skills that this person might have would also deal with healing status conditions on fellow party members. -Motivate: Special skills that cast PSI-less Offense-Up and Defense-Up on 1 or more characters and maybe other positive status alterations in the style of 'motivating' someone to do better. I hope it's a likable idea.
