The Website & Submissions

This section is about the website, submissions, etc.

Q: What runs this website?
A: That would be WordPress. Some good ol’ blogging software.

Q: What’s up with this Andonuts.net business in the URL?
A: Andonuts.net is The Dave’s website, MOTHER 4 is currently hosted there.

Q: How do I submit things?
A: Go to the Submit Page of course! Follow the guidelines detailed on that page and you’ll be set. Submissions must be reviewed before being displayed, so there may be a delay before they become visible to the public.

Q: My submission was never posted. Why?
A: It didn’t meet the guidelines set in the Submit Page. Administrators are the judge of what is acceptable and what is not.

Q: Your restrictions are too tight! Why can’t I submit my 42.3 MB video I filmed myself?
A: While we appreciate your enthusiasm, we’re not your file host. Feel free to submit your large videos to a video sharing website like YouTube. Other files that break the guidelines may be hosted elsewhere.

Q: How do I delete or replace one/some/all of my submissions?
A: Ask us somehow: send a contact form email or write a note in the description of the file you upload to replace the old one. We’ll get it fixed up for you.

Q: I’d like to see comments on submissions!
A: The Dave has a lot to do with programming the game’s engine, so comments on submissions aren’t priority. However he does acknowledge that there is a want for them.

Q: Why can I only submit text files in txt or rtf format?
A: Because not everyone has the proper programs to view the various types of rich text files that are out there.

Q: Why hasn’t my comment shown up yet?
A: It’s probably your first time posting here. First time comments must be reviewed by the administrators in order to check for spam bots. As long as you put some thought into your comments, they will be approved. The administrators will delete any comment that is spam or otherwise entirely unnecessary.

HAVE A QUESTION? Drop us a line and we’ll probably get back to you. If its a good one, we’ll put it here.
