A heads up!
March 18, 2012 by The DaveAs some of you may have noticed, we’re phasing out mother4.dcmsoftware.net. (Mostly you folks who’ve been around since we started the blog.) So if you get a little message prompting you to update your bookmarks, please do so! (With this one!) The old URL will hang around for a month or so, so fix your bookmarks sooner rather than later.
If you’re interested in the dcmsoftware.net domain, drop me a line, and we can work something out. I’d rather it go to someone who’ll use it than some domain squatter.
And finally, if you find broken links, report them so I can fix them. I’ve gone back and fixed a good number of them, but I may have missed some. Thanks in adavnce. 
And no this isn’t the update I was talking about in the commments of the last post. HEHEHEH.

Hey, just a general question to everybody that played MOTHER 2: How many of the Flying Men do you usually recruit before exiting Magicant? I never use them because a gravestone appears near their house when one dies. It makes me feel sad
If all you are really Itoi, you’d make this game offical. Anyway, thanks The Dave again! Can’t wait to meet Mr. T and do my offical scream “MR T!!!”
In other news, I think I found the 2 “nigh impossible unless you cheat” secrets. I also think I found maybe 4 secret links. Can’t find the other 4 though. But don’t worry, I will!

The update is about done. We’re putting finishing touches on it. I expect it to be out over the weekend.

I joked about releasing it before “the end of the world” which turned out to be a bad idea. There’s a good number of people that think we’ve set a release date for this year, which is not the case. We don’t have a release date or a release estimate. We aren’t at that point yet.
Anyway, there haven’t been screenshots because we haven’t posted an update in a while. That will change soon.
Hi Mr. Itoi. In other news, why haven’t we had a new screenshot in a while? I hear the game is “supposed” to arrive in 2012, and it’d be nice to see some more of this game since it’s so close to coming out! I also heard that you want to keep things secretive, but would a generic screenshot really spoil anything too important?

I know this is a weird post to post this on and possibly a weird question, but what is the planned control scheme? It’s just I haven’t seen it anywhere, and will it support USB controllers or be reconfigurable? If it’s not decided, no need to answer
As of right now, the default control scheme is the Arrow Keys, X/Z and Enter. You can reconfigure them as you please. And gamepads are supported, USB or otherwise. (Also reconfigurable.)

Anything using mother4.dcmsoftware.net will not work.
