The Dave here again. This time I’m here to bring you an update from the Fan Music Department. And let me tell you, it’s been busy! I have a whopping nine whole songs to share with you today. You really aren’t. It’s a short, light little melody which I thought sounded nice. I actually had the most trouble with this one, playing it about 8 times to get it right, and I’m still not certain it’s there yet. Might redo it at some point. [More]

Click on the musician’s user name, and it will link you to all of their submissions. Click the title of the song you want on that page to download it.

I just feel like the fan submissions page is a bit out of the way and doing a little feature every now and again brings them out into the open and gets people looking through the submissions page.

i gotta say im really phyced on how this game is turning out. Im keeping track of everything that’s going on. I downloaded all the images and songs that have come out. Ive even made 3 videos on youtube about this. Keep up the Great Work guys!

Nope. These are fan created songs. They have been submitted to the fan section of this site, and every once in a while we’ll do a little feature showing off recent submissions.
These songs were inspired by our project, (which I think is really cool) but won’t end up in the game.

Ah, ok. I was mislead since this is a fan game of the mother series, so I thought that the music and art of the game would be reffered to as fanart and fan music. I understand now.

I am Exdeath64, the Administrator over at the EarthBound wiki. We are committed to being a comprehensive database for the entire Mother series. Now, has you are likely aware, due to being part of Starmen.net, since the release of Mother 3, Itoi has announced he does not plan to continue the series. This presents a serious problem for our wiki, where do we get new content? I pondered this for a while, and eventually, I found my way here.
I have been following your progress for a while, and after comparing it to some similar fan efforts. You have something different. Your work is professional, original, and quite creative. I have determined that your “Mother 4? is probably the closest thing we are ever going to see to a continuation of the Mother series, barring Itoi returning, which due to his advanced age is unlikely.
Anyway, I am rambling. What I am getting at here is that we wish to not only affiliate ourselves with you, but to utilize our resources with the wikia system to add the data from your project to our wiki and to help you in any way we can so that this project reaches fruition. Now, if you are actually interested, feel free to contact me with any questions. Just find my userpage at the Mother wiki (http://earthbound.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page, a link to my userpage is listed on the main page). If you don’t want to talk to me directly, feel free to track down PikminMaster. He’s my right hand man on the wiki, and can help you if I am unavailable.

I’ve never seen this before, but I like the sound of it. We’ll have to wait for Chaisu’s official response to this, but as a staff member, that knows the other staff members well, we’d like nothing more than to see something like this. Unfortunately, I also can guess that you’d have to wait to incorporate the project to your site in the level of detail you have done (quite impressively, I will add) with the previous installations of the series until final release. This is due to multiple aspects of development:
For one, Mother 4 is being developed with alot of love and care, with alot of ideas being funneled down into an ever developing mold. It’s likely that if alot of the information that could be released at this point would be altered, removed, or replaced by the time final release was made.
Beyond that, Mother 4′s team has decided, for the reason above, private reasons, the desire to handle almost every aspect of Mother 4 as Nintendo and Shigesato Itoi would approach it themselves, that production would be, for the most part, confidential, though we will make updates, such as trailers, screenshots, and developer blogs (which is what this site is). We also answer any questions asked to the best of our ability.
I’d say that if you’d like something to do in the time being, you could create an article relating to us and the development process, keeping track of what we release, say, do, etc. I personally enjoy it when Mother 4 gets a bit of publicity.
Also, I’ll see what I can do to get a “General discussion” and “Contact us” page set up. Thank you for your interest in our project.

Will starmen make their return in the game or is that still uncertian?

I doubt they would tell us that since that would be a major plot detail (since it would infer that giygas was involved (which I also doubt would be the case since giygas was defeated quite a lot (read: destroyed from time) in mother 2)).
By the way, I doubt anyone’s noticed since there are no alerts to when new submissions are entered, but I submitted a few more tracks of music over a week ago for all of those that enjoyed the first batch, all three of you.

I’d like to at least make songs myself, but most music-creating software I try to use isn’t all that good.

J-MACHine music its awsome, it really lets my mind to get loose, thinking about this game & so
i like the snobodies music, but i think J-MACHine music should do a fine atributtion….anyway, its just n oppinion, im sure, the music you have chossen by itself its just awsome as well

J-MACH’s stuff is pretty intensely awesome.
And out of curiosity, Mordecai, did you hear what we’ve composed for the game, or just our stuff on myspace?
Cuz the stuff on myspace is but one style that we chose to do as a personal project.
As for the music for the game, we are using a variety of styles. I don’t think we’ve released any of our work for the game yet, or at least I wasn’t informed. but anyways, hope to talk to you chaps fairly soon. Like the musics

I’m pleasently suprised to see my music is going down as well as it is. Especially as i feel i could really have done a lot better then i did!
I’d have been updating a little more, but i’ve hit a few roadblocks recently. I’m back at school, for one thing, and for another, i was asked to try my hand at composing stuff for another fangame on Starmen.net. But, of course, the biggest roadblock is that i haven’t had any form of internet at home in a while, and i most likely won’t have it until the 18th. I’ve had to log on at school to acctually post this.
In any case, i’m glad that you guys like the work i’m doing, and when things pick back up a little, i’ll try and squeeze in the time to work on one-or-two things for all of you.
And for the record, i let out an inward giddy chuckle when reading the comment from one of the Snowbodies. That seriously made my day.

i think that the fire music from mother 3 should be in mother 4.
